Talks & Seminars

We are happy to present talks and seminars to parent or community groups, physicians, teachers or other professionals to share information and provide updated education about a variety of topics. Whether your group is interested in learning about topics such as: ADD and ADHD, Child or Teenage Brain Development, Neuropsychology, School Neuropsychology, Psychoeducational Assessments, Anxiety, Technology Use in Children and Teens, or some other area, Evolve can also develop and tailor a presentation based on your particular interests and learning goals.

Here is some feedback about some of Dr. Kincade’s recent seminars:

“Dr. Michelle Kincade spoke at our 21st Century Parenting workshop with her session titled "The Tween/Teenage Brain: A work in Progress". Dr. Kincade presented us with research into the development of the adolescent brain and how this development is impacting the behaviour and emotions of our tweens and teens. Her session was one of the most highly attended of the day.  We received a great deal of positive feedback on both the content and presentation of her topic, and requests for her to return and speak at our next workshop.”

“I am pleased to write this letter of endorsement regarding the professional development session you provided to the Calgary Catholic District and Calgary Board of Education Psychologists in 2009. You were welcoming and open to planning a session that met the specific needs of our professional group. Your session introduced and enhanced the understandings of many assessment principles, practices, and tools to better focus interventions for children with learning difficulties. The content in your session served to broaden and deepen our thinking about the integration of physiology, neurology, brain function, and learning. I feel you presented a balanced approach based on the research literature and clinical experience while ensuring the audience was aware of “what we know and what we don’t know”. Your use of illustrations, diagrams and summary lists/tables was appreciated and has been useful references in our daily casework. The concepts in the session were brought to life through the specific case examples and served to generate productive discussion and reflection.

You have an exceptional blend of theory, clinical practice, professionalism, and personal style that make for an effective presenter who is both knowledgeable and approachable. I appreciated your ability to speak in plain language and translate the many technical terms in the field. I have no doubt that other groups interested in having you present a session will find you to be as enjoyable and easy to work with as we did.”
