Clinical Neuropsychology Therapy

Dr. Kincade has worked in many acute-care hospital and neurorehabilitation settings with children, adults and elderly patients who have had to adjust to, and cope with, a large variety of medical and neurological issues that affect brain functioning. Therefore, she has special insight into the types of challenges facing these individuals as well as the potential psychological and emotional difficulties that they may encounter. It can be helpful for individuals with such a history to be able to work in therapy with a clinical neuropsychologist who has intensive training and understanding of some of the underlying brain-related symptoms that might emerge.

Dr. Kincade especially enjoys combining her background and interests in neuropsychology with her skills as a clinical psychologist to assist individuals who have experienced neurological illness or injury. For instance, she often works with clients who have medical histories that include:

  • TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY
  • STROKE
  • SEIZURE DISORDERS or EPILEPSY
  • BRAIN TUMOUR
  • MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
  • ENCEPHALITIS
  • DEMENTIA and ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE
