Adolescence can be a tough time for many teenagers and their families. With so many developmental, social, physical and cognitive changes happening, it can be a confusing and stressful time for teens as well as for their parents. Sometimes, basic information about the developmental changes that are taking place, such as the major brain development that occurs in the tween, teenage, and young adult years, can illuminate some of the reasons behind certain behaviour changes. Dr. Kincade has found success in talking with teens in a way that allows them to feel comfortable to be able to “open up” and consider different behaviour choices.DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT PLANNING
Dr. Kincade is pleased to offer consultation services to fellow health professionals, such as family physicians, pediatricians, neurologists, psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers to assist in differential diagnosis of various disorders and to assist in the development and implementation of appropriate treatment plans.
